  • Apply for your learner permit.
Visit RSA Portal

2. The "EDT Logbook"

After each of your 12 lessons, your instructor will log the session on the RSA system. You should check this periodically to ensure your "6 Month Rule" clock is counting down correctly.

3. Test Day Preparation

Before the examiner arrives, make sure your car has:

  • Valid L-plates (Front and Rear).
  • Visible Tax, Insurance, and NCT discs.
  • Fully functional lights and tires with 1.6mm+ tread.

4. The 6-Month Rule

You cannot take your driving test until at least 6 months have passed since the issue date of your first learner permit. Use this time to master the 12 EDT modules!
